High-speed chase ends in arrests
South Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Kevin Karley says a trooper clocked a driver at 87mph, just East of Rapid City. The driver would not slow down and a chase ensued. Speeds reached 105mph before the chase ended on North 171st Avenue, East of New Underwood.

Is "small-town" Rapid City seeing "big city" crime?
An attempted murder, a fatal stabbing, and a shooting that left two police officers dead. These are just a few of what seem like a rash of violent crimes recently in Rapid City.

Rapid City murder suspect remains hospitalized
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County State's Attorney are continuing to work with hospital staff to monitor the condition of Michael Andrew Young, the suspect in the stabbing death of Morgan Myers last month.

RCPD seeks public help in burglary case
The Rapid City Police Department has released surveillance photos of a man suspected of burglarizing Kustomz Truck and Auto on Haines Avenue on May 12.

Potting soil poses potential fire danger
